I don't play modern, but it looks like you have "too much" aggro. Like 4 lords. Should try to benefit from {counterspell}, {brainstorm} some spot removal.
Or whatever their Modern equivalent is.

The only true equivalents to brainstorm that I know of are ponder and preordain and both of those are banned. And this deck is ment to be Agro so I don't want to have to leave lands open to counter.
From what I know about modern, which I'll admit isn't much, it's all about holding out for one big combo or being as Agro as possible to win quick. That's why I have so many lords. I'm also experimenting with {wanderwine prophets} as a finisher but since I don't want to spend $30 on the card most Merfolk decks use I'm trying to figure out a good alternative. I don't remember the name of it but it lets you play a creature card from your hand every turn when I remember/find it I'll post it.
{Ponder} and {Preordain} are banned? What a silly format then. Anyways, {Adaptive Automaton} is not a favorite of mine at all. If you want to run an aggro deck, why not illusions? {Lord of the Unreal}, {Phantasmal Image}, {Phantasmal Bear}, {Grand Architect} and {Wurmcoil Engine} would give you combo power, and aggro. The reason i am saying "why don't you change the entire idea of your deck to something else completely" is, it can double as a standard deck as well. And it appears, by all accounts, to be doing the exact same thing.
{Quicksilver amulet} is what you're looking for? Or {AEther Vial}?
The vial was what I was looking for. Quicksilver cost too much. I have most of the cards for standard illusion decks I'll test it but the down side is most decks are either running burn or bounce which kill illusions easily.
Dude. All these recommendations are taking you away from what you're trying to do. I could second the "too many creatures, not enough other things" put counter spell and {Pongify} in there! I love Pongify.

That's totally a card I will consider. My computer is currently busted and in the shop so I should have it at week's end then I'm getting that cockatrice program or whatever to playtest. But yeah currently working on a new version.
How fish wins is with lords. It gets out lords quickly and bashes through. You want to be fast but take advantage that you're running blue. Play coral helm commander, take out the automaton, wake thrasher, and Banneret. They're to slow. Add phantasmal image to copy your lords, and mana leaks along with aether vial and may disruption shoal for "free" counter spells.
We all could make better versions of this but as he said he doesn't want to spend the big money on image or vile so I would post what you have and what your willing to spend to make it better.
I put up a tier deck list
