Title: FNM
Post by: CajunJynx on May 10, 2012, 03:32:13 PM
Ok, so I am considering leaving my beloved burn deck and using my boros for this upcoming FNM, problem is my burn decimates my boros. Hell, my burn deck in its current form is still unbeaten. My good friend refuses to even play me if I am using it 😜.  He will be bringing his homebrew control deck which rocks my boros.

I really want to take my boros for a spin though, even if it is a slightly less effective deck.

So question is, easy with with my burn or should I step out my comfort zone for boros?

Build seven from standard the standard forums. It's very, very aggro. If you block period you are wrong.

Especially after AVR, red miracles are Ballin. If I do run red, I'll take the sexy devils out of boros and throw em in. Willingly taking four damage is a huge mistake for that deck.

Have you uploaded your burn deck? I'm really curious to see a decent burn deck, because the one my friend has I always stomp with my humans.

It's "seven" in the standard forums. Let my buddy pilot it yesterday to playtest, it stomped my boros and my t1 zombies.

GG is a force to be reckoned with. That plus the wraths, thinking of changing out a reforge for another wrath and the pillars for sexy devils.

Yeah I'd also say mix it up a bit, leave them guessing what you will bring. Otherwise they all go ahead and build decks to counter your build until you can't do anything. ({which bane orb}, {ratchet bomb}, etc etc. whatever they need to shut down your deck)
Sure winning is great, but also building a new deck and watching how well it does against what everyone else brought is too.
I've actually built a few good standard decks that I'm really happy with, and depending how I feel on the day, I'll pull that one out and play with it. Also now is a great time to switch it up a bit as the new set is out and people have access to new cards, most likely have built to counter your burn deck. Which sucks when you rock up with something else. :)

Most of all tho, have fun.
