Ok. I am gunna sounds like a complete dumbass right now but please, someone explain to me why {Necropotence} is so good? You lose life to draw a card? I don't understand. Please don't look down on my simple mindedness.
One life for one card is an excellent trade. Especially when you can draw one card to gain 5+ life. Even with no life gain, life I a resource. Winning at 1 life or 20 life is still a win. Card advantage wins games.
because 1card > 1life. in its worst use you could use it in a lifegain deck and quickly make up what you lost
My favorite card of all time. Card advantage is a huge part of this game and remember it does not matter if you win with 1 life or 20 life. {Necroptence} just helps fill your hand with possibilities and maintain control of the board so your opponent can't deal that last bit of damage to you.
thinking necro is a bad card doesnt make you a dumbass. If so i was one as well. I never understood the purpose at first and was like life is a precious resource u shouldnt waste..well when myl fiance kicked my ass staying at 1 life and bringing me from 32 to 0 in 3 turns....yea life is a resource u should/can spend to gain an advantage.
One must lose pawns to kill the king.
Ahhh I didn't think of it in multi use purposes. I just saw skip draw step and then draw a card and I was confused. I see the point. I guess I'm more conservative and don't like to expend life. Kinda the same with phyrexian mana. I think that's bc I always lose games by either 1-2 life. And think that if I had just protected myself better, it would have been my game. But then, devils advocate says that if I have more cards, I can protect myself better. I think I'm gunna start incorporateing more draw cards things in my deck. I made a draw deck and it is one of me best decks. I wonder why? 😝
