Piotr,
Your app is really the only option available when it comes to building decks and searching for cards. The UI of iMtG is by far superior to anything out there. You're probably busy and certainly don't answer to customers when this is just a side project for you. People are ungrateful and entitled and don't consider the time cost of working on this app. How much money would you need in order to free up enough time that you could work on the app without having to worry about doing any client work to pay bills and to have it be worth your time?
£2400 per month.
With the current state of affairs at Apple, I die a little when thinking about another year spent working with the unstable swamp which Apple's API is, to be honest. They miss Steve so much, he was able to look at crap someone at Apple delivered because he was using it. He was able to go down the stairs and look the moron who fucked up in the eye, and fire them on the spot if necessary. There is no such person at Apple anymore and they look doomed to choke in pot vapours, sadly.
Working again with sane and sober people from SAP is a nice little refreshment in my life. I needed it.
Having said this, I appreciate your kudos greatly ;)
Please rest assured that even if no suitable investment is found, I am able to sustain iMtG as my pet hobby project.
Apple has broken iOS APIs on a yearly basis. The current unusual delay with delivering update is caused by Apple breaking their tools on top of breaking up fundamental things in iOS APIs.

agree. Ever since Steve jobs left Apple has gone down hill. People like you and me end up being the people who have to sort through their mistakes. If I get you that money will you fix the app? I'm certain you could fix it at your leisure with out the money but I'm wanting to be able to use the app again sooner rather than later. That being said I can't expect that out of you with out giving value in return. Is it possible with your time restraints to have it updated in 1 week if you are compensated sufficiently?
I also see you're a fellow hater of socialism and lover of logic. I did some more digging in the forums and on ultimate law and I didn't realize how much in common we have. I'd love to set up a quick zoom or Skype call to discuss our world views and iMtG. I'm self employed so my schedule is pretty flexible. I'm certain you're busy but if you are interested let me know.
My calendar is full till the end of February at least - there are projects with priority over iMtG. It may or may not be 5 mandays, because of the nature of compilation error troubling current iMtG codebase. We have tracked it to this piece of code https://github.com/apple/swift/blob/master/lib/Serialization/Deserialization.cpp which as of today starts at line 1683:
// When all is said and done, we should have a single value here to return.
if (values.size() != 1) {
return llvm::make_error<llvm::StringError>(
"result is ambiguous",
std::error_code(EINVAL, std::generic_category()));
}
I'm not sure I see checks for distinct values above this sanity check in swift compiler. Sad thing the values held in values array are not disclosed as part of the error reporting. So 20th century :P
