I opened a {Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded} today in the only booster pack I've bought on its own. This seems strange as my friends together have pulled 4 Tibalts in the past two weeks from our local shoppe, so I'm wondering if he might be a very common Planeswalker? Anyway, after serious consideration, I've decided he would not even fit into my mono red deck, and I have no intention of building a deck around him. The question that I can't decide upon is this: Do I trade him in now or later? What kind of response to Tibalt do you expect in the near future? Is he likely to go up or down in price from here?
He will probably go down in price. So if you want to trade him now would be best, but he does work great in an {burning vengeance} deck.

I was afraid of that. What am I missing between Tibalt and Burning Vengeance?
If you run a lot of flashback, the cards that you discard with his +1 ability will do an extra 2 damage.
{Burning vengeance} decks run alot of flashback cards. And if a spell doesn't have flashback they have {snapcaster Mage} and {past in flames} to give it flashback. Its basically a slower {pyromancer Accencion} deck.
I run tibalt in my boros deck to cycle lands after I have enough on the table to run the deck.

That appears to be his current use. W/R aggro

I think U/R is the way to go though.
My local shop is giving $5 in store credit for Tibalt. Should I look elsewhere?

Based on TCGPlayer.com's prices, he's going for ~$15.
That's pretty weak my store gives 50% cash 75% store credit.

I like that.
I don't like the fact that it's a random card like most. I get the cards you draw is in fact a chance, but is it worth a discard too?
So much better if it wasnt random so meh

It'd be a little OP if it was discard any card. 2 mana for a +loyalty and a discard.
