^This, there is a reason I wanted yours Sagemaster. The next deck I feature in an article has a likelihood chance to be the one I am testing now, which is Frites with Gisela.

I said screw it and preorderd a Chinese playset.
Why red?
Gisela is awesome, I'm aware. Just trying to push elesh norn and griz. However I probably don't need so many elesh norns.
As for why red, faithless looting does awesome things for this deck. Simple as that.
Anyway, the new version is trying something different. Not the best, but I'm just trying to do cool stuff like reanimate on turn 2 with infernal plunge here.

Your analysis is correct. Looting is a must. It gives the deck consistency and speed. I am looking at this deck for rotational purposes (as of now I play WRR because I believe it is the strongest deck in the format). But after Elesh, Go for the Throat, Phantasmal Image, Dismember, and Phyrexian Metamorph rotate, Gisela will be a powerhouse. Its already a 2 turn clock on its own unanswered.
I think frites will be powerful once scars rotates out as our friend said, my frites deck is fun, the only thing I don't like is when I can't get unburial rites and a strong creature in the gy, if I can't get there, the deck reminds me of one of those, "just throw your best cards in" kinda decks.
The problem with the rotation is elesh norns -2/-2 is going to be tough to replace. Gisela is a good clock but without the board sweeper decks like tokens may be able to just chump block. it's probably the front runner at this point however.

True but if you play RBW(what I'm liking as a control deck) I would do something like being Gisela from the grave and then some burn spells for a win. Also even though Gisela doesn't kill creatures it significantly weakens them...Or bump in the night
Without green you lose the entire point of the deck.
True I was just saying the Gisela has a ton of potential in this deck haha. And do you think you need more black mana?

I figured blue to be better for drawing. But I can see faithless being pretty good especially for 1 red.
Blue does draw better but red does it cheaper mana wise, and the discard is a plus. Sometimes it feels like a straight draw 2 for 1 red.
And probably, the mana base is terrible. But I don't ever plan on hard casting grisslebrand. So it's just for infestation and casting rites which happens less than flashing back in my experience
I have a frites deck of my own with gisele in it. The biggest problem you'll face with this deck is consistency. It's hard to get in unburial and big creatures in the graveyard, like you said. A must for this deck is lingering souls. Two 1/1 flyers and it gets cheaper to cast in the grave. Drop the zombie infestations for that. I would also consider trackers instincts. It has been of great help to me and I'd take 2 over llano war elves.
Not a chance zombie infestation is coming out. Discard outlet, token generator, and wins games off the back of griselbrand.
I used to have lingering souls in but i didn't like it. It's probably a house against control and people like it against agro to block but I'd rather play a card that advances my game plan.
As for tracker's instincts, also used to be in there but the deck wasn't doin as well as I wanted so I started switching things up and just haven't gotten back to it. I never get around to flashing it back and it does cause problems when it sticks me with a griselbrand in hand.
