I've been using this app (and religiously updating it) for four years now. In that time, I have been able to update the card database freely every time it says there is an update. Yesterday (4-15-17), I was taken to a store page upon tapping "Yes" on the database update prompt, and nothing is downloaded. Do I have to pay to get the latest card database now or is this a bug?
If you want free updates you have to wait for iTunes to update it. If you want up to date updates. You have to pay.
The details are here: http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?topic=51863.0
Ah. So the database updates are still free, just not the...ehh, "easy" way, I guess. Ah well. Is there any way to turn off the update popup if you for example don't think you can always afford a monthly fee?
Just say No to the popup. If you are using iMtG so often that update message bugs you, perhaps it is time to invest? ;]
ok so I bought the half year subscriotion for server access, but the message to update keeps popping up.

I am unable to reproduce your error. It would help if you could provide screenshots of any error messages you have seen in the process and all the steps you have taken to pay for the iMtG Server but did not receive the unlock.
Otherwise please speak to Apple as they run the App Store and can refund your payment if needed.

Thank you for your help. I reproduced the bug when trying to extend existing Expiry Date and I'm working on a solution.
Great News! Thanks for taking another look at the issue.
I also have a similar issue so glad you were able to find the bug. Looking forward to the fix.

The fix is with Apple for review but it will not change what has already happened in the past. If you kept your payment receipts you can certainly claim the money back from Apple App Store but the Amonkhet expansion is obviously included with the fix so maybe you could let it slide ;]
I've been having the same issue. If I refund my purchase and then buy it again will it fix the subscription issue? Or should this already be fixed with the Apple update?
I apologize, but I am not sure what you mean? When Apple fixes the bug, while I have credit for the purchases made for the database update?
I have receipts, but how will Apple know that I haven't received the product purchased? The have copies in their system for every purchase made through iTunes and the App store. As far as I can tell, you have been paid. will I have access for a year now?

They would have to have good faith in your testimony, same as I did. I am much less able to verify your receipts as they run the store and everything money related so it will be easier for them. Again, sorry about the mess.
