My friend played a card that exiles a card from another persons deck face down and he may play it as long as it is exiled. He stole {Wurmcoil Engine}. question is....who gets the tokens?
Whoever controls it
Good example is act of aggression/treason, you take it and kill it/sac it and the tokens are yours to keep

{slave of bolas} is a better example because it says sac the creature during the end step. So you take the engine, swing and then sac it and get 2 tokens

Why kill/sac it when you can {Cloudshift} it and KEEP IT FOREVAR!! Bwaa hahaha 👿
The keyword difference is the difference between Controller and Owner. You are the controller and the person who owns the physical card/it's in his library.
How about the wurmcoil with {mikeas the unhollowed} or {undying evil} get a 7/7 deathtouch lifelink, and 2 3/3!
Or better yet I edh {mirror works} out as you as it who cares if they take one when you can make 5 more as its cast
Mirror works only makes one copy unless u comboing. It with somethin elde
{sundial of the infinite} + {slave of bolas}
Although {mind control} would cost one less and only require one card so.....
