Post by: Co2 on August 05, 2016, 07:36:00 AM
Hello,

I'm trying to figure a {necrotic ooze} deck.
I've come accros {soldevi golem}. Les say i have {gelectrode} and golem in graveyard and the ooze on the battlefield. At my upkeep can i make a loop and go infinite damage?

No, you only get one untapped trigger from golem, as it is a "beginning of upkeep" trigger
The Oracle text (updated text) has taken away the activated ability, and has instead given it a triggered ability.

In fact, the Ooze doesn't even get the ability, since it is triggered and not activated.
Similarly, if you have a {goblin sharpshooter}, for example, Ooze will not untap if a creature dies.
Try {pili-pala} with {training grounds}. It is pretty much a free untap that way.

Oh... I didnt noticed the oracle text. Yeah well i guess this kind of wording doesnt exist anymore for a reason. Thanks for the pilipala tips. And thanks for your answer both of you :)
