What songs do you think left the popular scene too soon?
Definitely royals imo
OMG no. That stayed way to long. To the point of sickening.
Left the pop scene too soon?
Not too much that I can think of.
Vance Joy's Riptide, maybe.

^^^ I wholeheartedly agree.
No, it was overplayed for like 2 months then disappeared. It wasn't around for very long
Aren't they all, for the most part?

not usually. the average song isn't played that frequently so the stations can play them for like 6-8 months on normal rotation and once every couple days after.
What kind of stations do you listen to?

Popular because the kind of music i like isn't played on the radio
I don't, for the same reason.
Why would I listen to the radio when I can play what I like? Only listen to it when I'm not in charge of the music.

Same here.
Bluetooth and Spotify are nice.

Because I'm on a limited data plan and drive a lot
So am I.
But I drive a Prius.
With subs.

Then I have to buy said songs also
Spotify premium isn't that expensive.
$10,- a month or free radio. Makes sense to choose to buy 3 packs over the subscription to me. Phone can also function as IPod, if you don't want to compromise.
I'm lucky, with plenty of alt rock stations in the ether here, I can listen to fine music AND get surprised now and again. And podcasts, loads of podcasts.
As to the topic: the popular radio stations here tend to overplay more then underplay. There's pretty few one day flies I wanted to stick around longer.

Even a wrong decision, when made for the right reasons, can be a right decision.
What I'm saying is piracy.
Or perfectly legal loopholes in Canada.

You poor people.....I have the best rock/metal station evar where I live.
All of the stations in Colorado (that are worth note) are owned by Clear Channel. They stripped every single one of any individuality it had years ago and now only play mainstream bullshit. This is a multigenre issue. I stick almost exclusively to Pandora or my own stash. Also, Tays, who pays for music these days? 😉

There is also free music, like stuff released by the donation-based Quote Unquote records.
