He did some work for me during prerelease. Sneaking through as an attacker, and also surprise hexproof when my opponent forgot. I was a gentleman and let him take it back, but he was gentleman X 3 and didn't accept the offer. 👏
So wait could you block with the 4/4 side and then flip it into the indestructible side?

And because the creature is already blocking then the mist's "I can't block" restriction doesn't apply :)

does it deal 4 damage?

Unfortunately no unless it transforms back and then loses indestructible
