I've noticed that when I downloaded the entire cache of images, not all the cards gets their respective images and instead receives a generic placeholder image. For example I have downloaded the image cache on my iPad and {"Ach! Hans, Run!"} has its respective image, BUT on my iPhone, it has the generic image placeholder image. So I wondered if you can maybe create an option to "Download all missing images and replace the placeholder images with the correct images." option.

No, as I do not control the internets and the issue you describe is beyond my current powers.

So rule of thumb and purge and re download?
You can refresh images individually in card details view.
Would give you karma but my post count is too low. Thanks alot
Is that when you tap on any card in a list eg the card database viewer?
Yes, then pull.
