Focus. Stop confusing yourself and others. iMtG is not iMtG II.

In this same vein, when is Imtg 2 getting updated with the more recent additions?

Probaly when iMTG is stable and close to finished. Then work iMTG Plus (iMTG 2) will start. But ultimately Piotr will know.
Good things come to those with patience ;]
Exploit data interchangeability between the apps in the meantime, as a workaround to your particular issue, if any?
iMtG is stable enough already, according to comprehensive crash logs provided by Apple infrastructure, which is great.
iMtG II (soon enough to be renamed to Plus) just had its price lifted to $14.99 or equivalent in your local currency, as it includes a kind of so called 'futures' while iMtG does not.
Both apps had uninterrupted Database Updates since their releases (2011+) in the App Store and ability to push continuous updates remains our strength ;]
