So when a titan dies ({Emrakul, the aeons torn}, {ulamog the infinite gear}, {Kozilek butcher of truth}) they sit in the graveyard for a moment while their ability sits on the stack waiting to reshuffle them and the graveyard back into the deck, and they are vulnerable to graveyard hate dfuring this time correct?
and this is because of the delayed ability having to be put on stack?
it isn't an ability that is "mid-resolution" but an ability that has been triggered and is awaiting resolution (can be interrupted)
Correct. Unless it is a mana ability, a special action, or otherwise stated, all abilities (triggered or activated) are put on the stack. There, your opponent will get priority to disrupt it, or start their own abilities, before it resolves.
Yes.

So instant speed graveyard hate can exile a titan while it lies in wait in the grave for that moment in time? (confirming pre-emptively)
Cards like {blightsteel colossus}, however, never hit the graveyard because of a replacement effect and thus can't be affected by graveyard hate.
Surgical extraction of emrakul while trigger on stack is great :)
