Title: iMtG 5.6.12
Post by: Piotr on April 04, 2016, 01:24:48 PM
I'm happy to announce that new version of iMtG for iOS has just been approved by Apple and should hit your nearest server within 24h.

It fixes the dreaded Try Play crash introduced by iOS 9 ;]

It also introduces a bunch of new exciting but mostly controllable bugs (Next version is already with Apple for review.): http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?topic=49804.0

Have fun ;]

This update is fantastic, both aesthetically and mechanically.

Bravo, Piotr.

Thanks for the kudos, but I'm not happy with it myself. 5.6.16 is going to fix most of the current biggest problems such as automatic and manual refresh of prices on detailed card view.

Is the update for IMTG or IMTG 2?

Eventually, both.

What's the difference between 1 and 2?

Both imtg and imtg2 have the number 2 in the icon.    When imtg updated I had to restore purchase.  Imtg2 still knows I didn't pay for anything.

I am having issues with seeing the prices of cards...anyone know why? They are just not showing up.

My app icon now shows "2", and in the shop I feel I have to buy a subscription, although I bought I'll Have It All under IMTG. A bit confused here...

Your feelings are deceiving you, subscription is optional not mandatory. Did you read the description of iMtG I'll Have It All before you purchased it? It said this:

"Unlock everything, now and forever. Includes all modules but excludes monthly iMtG Server access fee."

So please clarify where your confusion stems from, my friend?

What's the difference between 1 and 2?

Description of I'll Have it All in iMtG II (soon to be updated to iMtG Plus) reads:

"Unlock all modules, now and forever. Includes all future modules but excludes monthly iMtG Server access fee."

Makes sense? ;]

Description of iMtG Server says in rather clear wording what you will be getting (all you need to do is tap on the info button next to the product):

"Assures continuity of back end services such as Database Updates, card images and multiplayer forums."

As for the price of Half-Life, it is for people with deep pockets only, when you try to buy it you will see the price in your local currency shown by Apple and will be able to back off if your financial powers are not powerful enough ;]

Thanks for the beers! I do not drink that much beer as I used to, and I thought switching from beer to supporting the valuable back end services will send a clear signal to my beloved users that iMtG is here to stay.

I have seen good MTG apps deteriorate and perish over the years, but I kept iMtG going and it will only get better. The more financial support I will receive from the users, the faster the progress on the iMtG development will be.

Yes you should see the status of your subscription in Main Menu -> Shop. I'm actually not sure if non-renewing subscriptions populate across the family. I think they should but it is up to Apple and beyond my powers to change if they do not do it, really.

Makes sense?

Thanks. I understand that I will no longer get any updates unless I buy a subscription.

In deckbuilder : how can I make the default view as "List"? Also, the cards in the default view (don't know the english word for that view) are not sorted in the same was as the list view. Normal?

No, subscription is not mandatory. If not enough people subscribe though, I will let you know and shut down the operations. I have family to feed and limited time to make money. I hope this makes sense?

There seems to be a bug with remembering default layouts for portrait and landscape views in various screens, but it is on my TODO list already 😘

Much appreciated. Next Database Update should be dedicated for you and will bring SOA legalities up to speed... If you see crashing in legalities, Apple is in the process of processing the bug fix to the App Store, at their own slow pace (5.6.18).
