What are your guys opinion on which commander is the most fun to build around/ play as?
Animar is the funest commander because of all the silly combos that can be pulled off! {Animar, Soul of Elements}
Most of the fun factor in a deck comes from the 99, in my experience.
My most fun deck has to be Arjun's Chaos, but I wouldn't call {Arjun, the Shifting Flame} the most fun.
That said, some commanders make for really bizarre interactions, which I find pretty much fun.
({krenko, mob boss} is also a lot of fun, because of his silly explosiveness, for example)
{Maelstrom Wanderer} is always fun with double cascades
I had fun building my Hydra Commander deck. Won't say Ulasht was my funnest commander to build around since I built the deck around {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} and {Xenagos, the Reveler}. Ulasht was just a nice find. Though I noticed if I play Ulasht right while Xenagos is on the field I never have to worry about being unable to pay the extra mana if my opponent keeps destroying my commander.
I personally don't like super powerful commanders as I hate being public enemy number 1. And you didn't ask for the 99, so for the abilities themselves;
{Muzzio, Grand Architect}. The ability is fun, powerful, pretty unique and good to build around. He can draw you lots of aggro but usually doesn't.
{Sidisi, Brood Tyrant} is also very fun as getting rewarded for milling yourself feels pretty awesome when you build the deck around milling yourself. You shant draw too much aggro unless your reanimator plan goes off really well. In which case you're generally ready for it.
Now going against my word and mentioning a super powerful one, but remember we're loving it for the ability,
{Narset, Enlightened Master}. I don't play the auto win version, I just love casting spells for free. Especially Planeswalkers.
I know I am OP. But I have built and play tested a lot of decks since March. My favorite for just raw fun has to be one I built around {Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh}. Had a chaos deck. Just trolley goofy effects. Best of all I won one game via a {comet storm} that killed everyone, while I was on one health.

I never could get behind the planeswalkers commanders as commanders. {Meren of Clan Nel Toth} and {Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas} are more my style.

Lol yeah Meren is pretty hot isn't she? Before I bought the Meren deck I never liked cards where I had to sacrifice creatures but with her on the field they can be back at the end of my turn.
Maren and the new {Gisa and Greaf} are both really fun. Personally I like G&G more just because I love zombies.
