3 1/2 yrs ago. A friend and I were getting..........blitzed. He played magic and convinced me to play. Been playn since.

15 (or something like that) years ago I was on sports detention in the library when the nerd in school asked if I wanted to play cards? I thought 'hell yeah, I'll fleece this guy for all he's got'. He pulls out MtG, Ive been hooked pretty much since bar a couple of years. 😁

Not usually on Magic; the profit margin is too low. But he'll shave a little off if I buy a box. And for Warhammer 40K (tabletop miniature game) I get a pretty handsome discount on certain items :)

My cousins got me involved then they stoped playing so I taught myself :(
Then i started playing with a friend and got a lot better :)

Big brother said "hey you know mtg?" I said no and the next thing I remember is us buyin starter packs and fat boxes. Damn him :-)

I'm pretty sure everyones story has to end with some form of "Damn him!", and mines not excluded!

Old high school buds and I were hanging out this summer, when they decided to show me how to play MtG. One thing led to another, and now I'm getting my cousin into the game.

... Damn them!!!!

When I was twelve years old, I followed my mother into a tiny comic and card shop in a mall. Tenth edition magic card boosters were on a shelf behind the counter. I asked my mom if I could get a pack, but she said no. And that was the end of that.

I latter got a starter deck from a card shop in New York and waited untell my 13th birthday because it clearly said on the box "age +13".

I started mid 4th edition back in 1995 and played until stronghold then all my friends stopped playing. I rediscovered it again with magic online in 2006 and have been playing since. I still buy paper singles but haven't played paper magic since 1998 sadly.
