{vampire hexmage} also works for this. And I like {hex parasite} for planeswalker removal.

Yeah I guess the hexmage is the way to go, T3 and you can have it out? Now that's pretty ridiculous.

Well, that beats the hell out of using {thespien stage} to take the counters off. Or if nothing else adds to the options. LOL

Pro about the stage is it cannot be FoW'd. Relevant in legacy.

Also, if Marit Lage bites the dust before she can win you the game, you can get the combo back with {Life from the Loam}.
