I don't play Standard often, but I figured Aristocrats looked like fun on a relative budget.
The main thing I'm working on at the moment is my mana. I tried a Foothills, a Mire, and a Smoldering Marsh a way to get black earlier, but after the deck's first outing at FNM, I'm going to see how Strands plus a Sunken Hollow do. I'm not sure how many fetches and tangoes I should run, as I don't want to get too greedy with fixing; I want to have enough basics to fetch to both get untapped mana when I need it and to turn on my tangoes.
I'm also trying boarding some countermagic to fight against Infinite Obliteration, though that may be a little ambitious unless I find more room for Strands. (I have four available.)
My sideboard needs work, in general. I have a copy of Anafenza, which I figure is good to have in the mirror or against Hangarbacks, but it's just the one. I feel like I should be mainboarding more of my Abzan Charms, but I also want Silkwrap in the main to deal with Jace. I'm also not sure if Duress is what I need or if I need a fourth Arashin Cleric. I should also work in more Fleshbag Marauders, since they can answer lone Anafenzas with little fixing.
I suppose the root of all my issues is space. The deck feels so tight that I don't want to mess around with much. The most I did was cut all of my copies of {Catacomb Sifter}, which I didn't really want to do. Maybe I'm running too many things as playsets? I'm just so much more used to building EDH decks.
Thoughts and suggestions welcome!
