Title: Modern milling?
Post by: redwolv on November 23, 2015, 08:11:51 PM
So i have been thinking about getting into modern for awhile now and i was wondering if i could do so with my favorite archtype: mill. My question is, is there a possiblity for at least a semi- competative deck. Not looking to wipe the floor but to at least have a chance of winning small fnm type tournys at my lgs.

I have a pretty sweet list actually. There are a lot of naysayers out there, but I have tons of fun.

It is definitely possible at the local level to be semi competitive but it is hard. My only advice is to build a controll shell that has mill as a win con. You can win with pure mill but it is a far tougher up hill battle.

I agree with Kiwi also you're going to want it to be Esper for {Supreme Verdict} and {Path to Exile} and {Rest in Peace} in the sideboard (maybe even a one of MB bc delve and Snapcaster are things

I expected as much, about the control shell. Most all mill decks are. Guess now it is time for some research

I had a list. Good luck finding it...it had moderate success on Untap.
