Posters are hanging all over town. It is the buzz on Facebook. It's the talk of the town.
This year won't have 100 small Halloween parties, but one big one.
Warehouses at the edge of town have been made available, and there is room for all.
Will you come too??
Sign ups so far:

Noblellama, animated ferret peddler
Mmmmhmmmm yes, maybe I just joined;
In the past I was Sorin yet currently unaligned;
I have unbelievable propositions but still you will sign;
It's Halloween my dear, give me your blood on the line;
{Sign In Blood}, give us your Hancock before the thread moves further =]
Kinda trying to set the tone for a Halloween flavored event. There will be something going on at the party. The story will unfold in the telling.
I'd like to ask those who join to take a fun deck and play three turns to establish a party presence.
I'll start off, I guess.

And joining the grill master we have a peddler in animated ferret statues.
The extra turn will be added just after events start to unfold ok?
While the guest seem to be still coming in, you notice one of the hosts preparing for what seems to be a Halloween game. Setting up candles, drawing chalk lines.

I'm not saying they're summoning a demon. But they're summoning a demon.

I'm not saying they're summoning a demon. But they're summoning a demon.
The host turns at you, distraught. Why would we summon a demon? We wish to use this time, where the veil between the worlds is thin, to pay homage to our ancestors. To summon a demon would be a vile abuse of this moment. Our reasons are benign.
With that, he finishes his preperations.
He asks you to join him

Guys....
I'm running out of space on the table for these sables and I already started stacking them 4 deep each...
As the peddler is hopelessly overstocked and juggling for table space while the ferrets do what ferrets do, the host gets distracted.
The room shimmers, and it gets cold.
Something seems to have gone wrong.
The shades forming are not benevolent ancestors to greet you.
Ravens eye is the first to react and starts hurling embers from the grill.
The sables stop playing and look for orders of their master.
Take your extra turn.
15 zombies died so far.
Okay.
Mountain
{Vexing Devil}(this works right? They take four?)

{Thundermaw Hellkite} swing for five

As to the devil, the horde accepts him on the field. No burn.
20 damage as we await the sable's actions.

Nice one. Expecting someone over for coffee. After that I'll write
Coffee went on until late. But here it is: dramatic entry of the horde of evil spirits aka zombies.
The Sabel peddler worked hard to bring even more of his creatures to bear.
He animated so ferociously, even the zombies that where taken out started to stir again.
It was as the work of the day was undone.
Then, the first vanguard of the Horde is upon you.
No less than 9 zombies glare at you. They especially seemed to have disliked being pelted with burning embers.
Fumes ooze from their bodies, and it seems like just being hit would hurt.
({Days undoing} shuffled the graveyard back in, 7 cards where drawn. 2 {zombie apocalypse} in hand are discarded without effect, 6 2/2 zombies, {death baron}, {infectious horror} & {vengeful dead} on the field.)
2 cards in the yard
89 in library
Zombies all enter tapped by the way.
Dammit Llama. Sigh. Can I {Street Spasm} for two?

Dammit Llama. Sigh. Can I {Street Spasm} for two?
Remember you do the same. {day's undoing} says every player.
You keep your board and get a fresh hand.
Overloaded {street spasm} would wipe zombies, resulting in 8 life lost from {vengeful dead}. Worth?

It dies too... meh, {Vexing Devil}'s a 4/3 anyways. Don't know with Llama though...

It will wipe his sabels unless they can become indestructible somehow. I agree it's a harsh board..

My fresh hand has {Darksteel Forge}
Drop Island
Cast {Darksteel Forge}
Now do your thing
Then I'll swing out :)
{{Kaylesh}}, the sables are safe. I'll do my thing.
Upon seeing the oozing spirits approach, and his earlier spell slinging having little effect, RavensEye loses it. He flips the grill at the mass. Hot coals land on the sabels, the zombies, everywhere.
Luckily, the sabels can take it, having been made of Darksteel. The zombies, however, burn down very fast. A cloud of noxious gas fills the room, leaving you nauseous, but the 10 Sabels charge through it, biting down on zombies left and right.
The zombies left standing are no longer emitting the fumes. RavensEye recognizes one as the guy who ran the butcher's shop. Time has not been kind on him though.
1 2/2 token + {abattoir ghoul} enter.
67 library
31 graveyard
32 life
I'll just tap out for my {Crater's Claws}.
And swing for 9
The metallic fuzzies continue to tear up the horde like it is some fluffy teddy bear. Joining them are the devil and dragon summoned from the embers of the grill. Zombies fall left and right. To add to the carnage, TheRavensEye throws handsful of embers in the air. It forms a fiery claw, that mauls 5 more zombies to the ground. The smell of roasting meat would make people feel hungry, if it wasn't for the feeling of nausea that replaces it as two more zombies push forward. The {bronze sable}s are the first to react. The stench is just too much for them. As one, they drop to the floor.
As Noblellama looks in shock, the {abattoir ghoul} and the zombie that formed the earlier vanguard strike at him.
(One 2/2 zombie and {noxious ghoul} enter, all non-zombie creatures get -1/-1)
(2 zombies attack for 5)
Field:
2 2/2 zombies
{abattoir ghoul}
{noxious ghoul}
Library 31
Graveyard 65
Lives 27
Sorry for the delay.
I'll just cast another {Thundermaw Hellkite} and swing for 14
I'm sorry for the delay on my part. First, I somehow missed Raven's post, then my PC, on which I ran the deck, decided to reboot for an update. Plan is to put back the game state this evening.
I've managed to recreate the board, and played the turn. I'll post it now, story comes later.
Enter 2 2/2 zombies + {bad moon}.
All non-zombies -2/-2.
Swing 14.
2 3/3 zombies
{abattoir ghoul} 4/3 first strike
{noxious ghoul} 4/4
Library: 14
Field: 6 creatures + {bad moon}
Graveyard: 79
Life: 13 (unless you have a trick)
Wow. That's explosive..
The Sabel peddler turns out to be an agent for the Eldrazi. He creates a portal, out of which come Emrakul with a betrayer.
The zombies don't stand a chance and are routed where they stand.
You've saved your world from the evil spirits, but now you'll have to deal with the Eldrazi.
Anyone has the number of Elesh Norn?
Quote from: Noblellama on November 18, 2015, 02:33:43 PM
They are in my other deck ;)
*Goes to scoop up Emrakul and it that betrays, cant pick them up, cant tap them....we have a problem now*
Flash in {willbreaker} with a {throwing knife}. Just the threat of WB tossing a knife is enough to get Emmy to behave ;)
