Title: Would it be to broken if...?
Post by: Noblellama on October 14, 2015, 01:13:47 PM
What if there were a creature, artifact or enchantment whose ability said something along the lines of "{X} (unknown amount): Target ability that would end at the next end step instead ends during your next upkeep"

Basically an ability that makes something switch from "until end of turn" to "until your next turn"

would probably need to be "on a stick" to make it easy to kill so it doesn't get abused (too badly)

Thoughts?

There already are a few of those types of things, the one that comes to mind is {jace, architect of thought}'s ability that reduces attacking creatures' power until jace's controller's next turn. But you said creature or enchantment so not sure if im being helpful or not.

He's talking about a new mechanic from scratch....at least that's what I read. Would make "end of turn" copy tokens of creatures with "beginning of your upkeep" triggers a lot of fun. Having them actually make it to your upkeep

And let tack on any pump like a  {Giant Growth}... Also multiplayer formats like edh would eat that card alive and play it every chance they could. For every players turn a  {Silence} or by God a  {Fog} Effect
