Splashing 1 plains and 1 canopy for the retreat doesn't seem worth it. Could run another forest and 1 more cinder glade

4 mana sorcery speed that doesn't really do anything until you untap and when you do you get a kor, and the kor can't even attack until the next turn.. Just overwhelmingly slow.

In the deck I built yes I will agree, it is out of place and not that good. But in the right deck I think it is a powerhouse

The B/W tokens deck that sees some play in modern I think can benefit a lot from it

believe me the tokens deck doesn't want retreat to emeria. It's extremely slow, and is very powerful in limited but not in constructed.
