So I was playing some casual games of legacy with my brother tonight and I pulled out my Miracles deck for the first time in a couple of months. About 5 turns in I cracked a fetchland and went searching for the last volcanic island that should have been there. I couldn't find it. Searched my library again. Still couldn't find it. Asked my brother to search my library for it. He couldn't find it. Asked our friend who was watching the game to search my library. He couldn't find it in there either. I was just about reaching panic mode when I took a look through my graveyard to see it i had accidentally put it there. Nope. Not in the deck box either. Now I'm really starting to panic. Then I picked my hand up off the table. There it was, staring me in the face. It was my draw for that turn, which I had set up with a brainstorm on my last turn. Crisis averted, but I felt like the biggest dickhead after that.

Totally panicked like that before. It's always over a volc or a u. Sea.
I can imagine panic over that.
But to realize it's in your hand all along, that had to hurt a bit...
I was looking for my Kozilek EDH deck the other day. Looked in my backpack, not there. Looked on the floor nearby, not there. Looked on the table I was about to play on? Not there.
Asked the shop to check lost and found? Not there.
Look over at my son watching Netflix on my iPad. There Kozilek chilling right where I put him while I cleared off the table.

Man I was just happy that my volcanic island wasnt lost or stolen.
Karona foil was missing for a long time, then it popped up in my tokens box
PHEW!
Lol at this whole thread... Although I am the guy who had a seizure and passed out after thinking I lost Geth. The best was taysbys.
One time i put my foil {nissa worldwaker} (when she was ~$60) with my bulk, and then dropped it all on the floor on accident. I looked threw all the cards, and saw some bent, but couldnt fund nissa... Turns out that her and an elvish mystic were the only things that didnt fall out of the box... Elf goals
Also one time, went to go smoke a cig at a major event and left my standard swagged out bug deck on a chair, thankfully my group picked it up for me. Losing a deck you're playing with at a tournament = bad
I thought I lost my Japanese pack foil {Steel Hellkite}. Nope, just in a random slot of my binder in the middle of 6 pages of nothing.
I remember I almost thought I lost my {Force of Will} but apparently it was in my car. :P
I was interrogating my opponent like a cop. asking him questions and making the whole store uncomfortable.
The thing is, the last time I used the deck was after a FNM a couple of months back, just having some casual games while the last round was finishing up. I actually turned my back on my deck for about 10 seconds (halfway through a game) while I went up to collect my prize from the event, and while I knew no one who was around the table would try anything fishy, especially with someone I 100% trust being among numerous people who would have seen had anything shady occurred, my initial thought when I couldnt find the volcanic island was to rack my brain "ok, who was near that table 2 months ago, and was the volcanic island on the table at the time, and was there really enough time for anyone to grab it....?" It was not a pleasant feeling. I am thankful that it was just my own stuff up and I will never be turning my back on that deck again!
Because I haven't invested too much into magic, I get heart attacks when any card is missing from my decks (excluding basics). It normally goes like this:
Shuffle, realise I'm missing {Unsummon}, frantically search other decks, scream and curse because I probably don't have another one, then realise the card is sticking to another card.
Moral of the story, don't play on tables while drinking is occurring, will most likely cause cards to stick.
Did this with my trade binder once. Somehow it slipped into the laptop section of my backpack instead of the main compartment and I freaked out for a while, looked everywhere for it and almost headed back to my LGS before I found it.
Once after leaving a store two hours away from home I looked in my bag for my little binder I carry all my fetches, shocks, basically all of my expensive lands. Turned around and realized I had left on a chair at the store there. That would've SUCKED if someone had decided to take it honed or the hour I was gone.
This happened about a year ago but still. Pairings for round 3? 4? Doesn't matter, pairings for a later round at a Modern FNM had been posted, I went to sit down with my opponent and couldn't find my Mill deck. I should also mention that the entire deck minus a few lands and fetches are foil, including my sideboard. So I start freaking out. I had just picked up my final 2 Mistys of my playset, which were $100 at the time, and the deck also had a Tarn in it, which was also $100. After about 3 minutes of me frantically searching my backpack and all of my deck boxes, my buddy who I had played the round before places my deck box on the table. His deck had the exact same box and he had grabbed it on accident. That was horrible 😖
