Title: Prerelease without seed packs.
Post by: redwolv on October 01, 2015, 11:55:51 AM
so after this prerelease what do you guys think about wizards removing seeded boosters? Do you feel like you lost a valueable set of cards to help the base of your deck? Or is the extra pack you get in exchange worth it?

I felt freer to build what I wanted now that I didn't have a seeded pack saying "include this color in your deck." I let the packs do the talking, and I made a sweet deck because of them.

This prerelease was a huge success. I wish I could've attended more.

Agreed I feel this was much better. Previously when a specific color had a great promo, that would always be picked first. Then by Sunday it would just be green boxes left. Plus this meant promos could be anything. Foreign promo sexiness!

I partially agree I really liked how for ravnica for example they had the guild seeded pack and for khans they had the clans etc but for less obvious color sets like BFZ I like what they did

I'm happy for the return of packs over seeded. Allows the opportunity to open value, and gives you better uncommons.

I feel like it does hurt the flavor aspect of the prerelease a bit. But it increases random, which aids the underdog..
