Title: putting a +1/+1 counter

{Hooded Assassin}

i have one in play already, then next turn i play another one, can i put the +1/+1 counter on the first one? since they have the same name

No.
In this case, Hooded Assassin refers to itself.
If it said "put a +1/+1 counter on A Hooded Assissin", then you could.

No.
In this case, Hooded Assassin refers to itself.
If it said "put a +1/+1 counter on A Hooded Assissin", then you could.
