You have that deck, that one you made a long time ago, that archtype that you love, and no matter how many times over the years you dismantle it, you end up rebuilding it, usually with about 85% the same card base each time?
yeah, I have a few of those, and try as I might they always reincarnate into my commonly played decks...
A few I am notorious for are {W} Angels, {W} anti-{B}, {R} Dragons, and a {B} Legions of Darkness deck.
what about you guys?
GW auras with {Squadron Hawks}
RG aggro
Mono-{B} goodstuff. I always build it. That and Mono-{G} Elves.
UW control.
Oh i opened this expecting it to be a drinking game ....
Since I rediscovered MtG (Avacyn Restored), I built a load of decks, but only dismantled like two of them. One because it was a poor shamble of faeries and merfolk without synergy or wincon besides one card, and one (goblin) because it was too harsh for fun casual play. Turned it into a commander deck.
When building, I do find myself using certain tools a lot, though. Need untap engine and run {U}? {aphetto alchemist} + {illusionist's bracers} will probably find a slot..
{W} weenie/humans for me. I still miss my old {champion of the parish}/{gather the townsfolk}/{silverblade paladin}/{elspeth, knight errant} curve. Good times.
I always build (casual) {wall of denial} deck and I find myself building rb vampires quite often
