Im thinking about picking up a case of Battle for Zendikar and holding onto it for a few years to try and flip a profit. You guys/gals think it would be worth it or not? (Really only for the Expedition lands)
I'd say no
This set is crap eternally, and the frequency of the lands is so low you may not get one for up to 18 boxes opened.
Let Lady Luck choose you and not let your wallet screw you

Which is why im prolly gonna hold of on a foreign box, and just get an english one, because it would be nice to crack an expodition land, but it probably wont happen...
Edit.. Other way around.. Getting a foreign box, not an english pne
Yeah you're more likely to bank off of full art basic foreign foils than an expedition land
This set is crap unless you play standard only
If maybe we had got all the man lands we could still pull value but noooooo
2 terrible man lands... Like why even make them?
$3 cancel with awaken so good 😔
I just bought six Drana
She's a powerhouse in standard, she's going to be hard to get at first
And I need 3 for me and 3 for my bro
And I have no plan to buy any of this crappy set

Because we've been bitching for years that the Worldwake manlands were allied only and we wanted enemy manlands?
To answer OP's question, it is *never* a good idea to invest in trading card games. In the long term, you will lose money pretty much guaranteed. If you want to make a profit, invest in things that normal people invest in. If you want to stay with Magic, grab some graded Power 9 and sit on them for, like, ten or fifteen years, because those will never be reprinted.
