Notes: Casual combo built on the infinite of Sphinx and opponent controlling notion thief.

And my mind brings you another janky combo deck.
Imagine an opponent controlling a {notion thief}, and you controlling a {consecrated Sphinx} at his upkeep. Move to draw, opponent draws, you draw two. No, you don't, your opponent does. So you draw four. No, your opponent does. Into 8, into 16, into whatever is needed for your opponent to draw out.
All that is needed, is for your opponent to have this {notion thief}...
But we can help with that. Slap an {assault suit} to your thief, and have a sphinx in play as the suit triggers at the beginning of your opponent's upkeep.
Of course, this plot relies on a three card combo, and is quite mana intensive, especially Sphinx. So, draw power is needed. That, and something to negate the sphinx's 6 CMC, the thieves' 5 CMC and the suits 4 + 3 equip.
Thank you Legacy for providing us with a great shell for that. Omnitell. {show and tell} into an {omniscience}, and mana will no longer be a problem. We can just put down the combo T3, and activate T4.
Than all that's left is some draw power.
With the Omnitel path, the hardest draw power there is, is {enter the infinite}. Just draw your deck and put down the needed pieces.
It's also really nice as finisher when you only had the suited thief. Your opponent will have to draw..
Subtler ways of getting the combo are {brainstorm}, {dig through time} & {demonic tutor}, so these go in.
In play testing I noticed that sometimes I was left in a position where there was a sudden threat that needed answering, due to {show and tell}. A T3 Emmy of Blightsteel is nothing to scoff about.
This lead to the inclusion of a second wincon.
{enter the infinite} was already there, and with the draw power in the deck I could draw myself out right there. Thus, in came {laboratory maniac} as a two of alternate wincon.
For those times speed is of the essence. (Or if you can't combo out on the gift for missing a card)
i didnt understand the notion thief thing much. so you have 2 notion thieves out and give 1 to the opponent and thats what causes the draw out because they keep doubling each other?

No, two {notion thief} will just cancel each other out, because they will replace the event of drawing only once.
However, if you have a {consecrated Sphinx} and your opponent has a {notion thief}, the Sphinx will trigger on each of your opponent's draws. If you then choose to draw two cards, thief will have your opponent draw two (replacing those new draws). These draws (by your opponent) will trigger Sphinx, creating a loop, causing your opponent to be forced to draw out.
got it!!
