Here's what I'm playing at the Milwaukee premier IQ this weekend:
BW tokens
2 {sorin, solemn visitor}
1 {elspeth, knight-errant}
1 {liliana of the veil}
4 planeswalkers
4 {inquisition of kozilek}
3 {Thoughtseize}
7 discard spells
4 {lingering souls}
4 {spectral procession}
4 {bitterblossom}
2 {timely reinforcements}
14 token generation spells
4 {path to exile}
2 {dismember}
6 removal spells
4 {intangible virtue}
1 {zealous persecution}
5 Random anthems
4 {marsh flats}
4 {windswept Heath}
4 {godless shrine}
3 {isolated chapel}
2 {windbrisk heights}
1 {vault of the archangel}
2 {fetid Heath}
3 {plains}
1 {swamp}
24 lands
Sideboard
1 {deathmark}
3 {stony silence}
2 {kor firewalker}
1 {blood baron of vizkopa}
1 {rest in peace}
1 {disfigure}
1 {zealous persecution}
1 {timely reinforcements}
1 {wrath of god}
2 {ghostly prison}
1 {suppression field}
Thoughts/criticisms on this version over my last one? I cut green so I could realistically cast liliana
My only goal is to be able to have someone let my suppression field resolve when they have at least one fetchland on board
I thought you didn't like bitterblossom?

I played with that card and the amount of ass it kicked forced me to change my opinion. I was super wrong
Top 8'd with this deck! Punted hard game 3 in round one of top 8 though.
Edit: picked up some fetid heaths for $9 a piece and tossed those in the deck which was nice to have, but that's the only difference.
I played against:
Esper mill 2-1
Naya burn 2-1
RG tron 2-0
Suicide zoo 2-1
Grixis w/ lingering souls 2-1
Naya Burn 2-1
Intentional Draw
Intentional Draw
Top 8
1-2 to emeria control
Nice!! Congrats dude!
Thanks! Really proud. I've played versions of tokens almost exclusively for about 5-6 months now and I'm pretty pumped I was able to do well at an event.
Nice XD but as a tron player I have to ask how you beat him 2-0?
That's amazing! Great job!

Game one had an inquisition and saw a platinum angel (weird inclusion) and other redundant tron cards and an O stone. I took one of the tron finding things to make him have it a turn later. I didn't have a way to kill platinum angel so I had to take a risky line, I wanted to bluff a kill spell for the platinum angel by just not playing lands and attacking him. I attacked for "lethal" and he blew his oblivion stone to not die to any removal spell in my hand (it was 4 lands bitterblossom and I played a bitterblossom and drew a path the turn after he played wurmcoil.
Game 2 my opponent led on urza's land chromatic something, I opened on land barren ton forge tender. He cracked his egg, missed his land drop and played another egg. I played stony silence and he wasn't able to do a whole lot for turns 3-5 but found a grove to cast sylvan scrying and is now one tron land short of assembling it. He plays the tron land I knew about and passed. I attacked with some of the spirits I had again and he untapped, played a new tron land and cast wurmcoil but I had a path. He untapped with another wurmcoil but I had another path. I untapped and attacked for lethal.
Damn nice :D bc I know tokens is tough vs tron so that's sweet that you 2-0ed him :D

No {pyroclasm} or {ugin} in his list? :P
There were clasms, I IoKd one at least that he wasn't casting due to forge tender. Idk about ugin
Well now that you are the resident pro, can we expect to see you in the wall game page, schooling us noobs?

Lol believe me I'm far from a pro. I drew well and played pretty well but I'm far from on the level of real pros. I believe a lot of it was the power level of my deck. The deck can just attack from a bunch of directions depending on the matchup.
On a slightly related note, what did you think of the Modern Event Deck as a tokens list? It's a little late to ask, I know, but I'd like to hear your opinion.

I'll take a look and edit this post
Edit: it's honestly pretty meh. I feel like tokens strength lies in it's ability to attack from several different angles, and with only 2 discard spells and 3 paths you're ruining the whole kill everything plan to make room for more aggression, but you're kind of putting all your eggs in one basket, and that deck isn't super great at racing either way, in matchups where you want to race, there are play of faster decks. Tokens can be fast and it can grind, whichever is more appropriate for the matchup.
Did you ever use baron?

Nope. He was trash the whole day. He's going to be leaving my IRL sideboard as soon as I own a replacement (I have a hero of bladehold somewhere)
that said I never played against jund or grixis.
Are you going to run {Shambling Vents}?

I've been thinking about it, probably not. Like I've said letting my opponents lightning bolts and terminates trade for a card is bad for me. More tapped lands are bad for me too. I may try it because better players than myself have been discussing it but I'm kinda iffy. I will have new gideon for sure though.
Personally i believe gideon doesnt do anything that a BW tokens deck would want to include when there is already elspeth and 2 different sorins that I would prefer in that spot.

I'll be cutting my zealous persecution for him. He's extremely good at helping tokens provide a clock, which is where it stuggles. Tokens can grind much much better than any jund deck but without tarmogoyf you can't turn around and be on the offensive as fast. Gideon comes down for four mana, you untap and attack for 7.
Bumped for codester/hatcheerr
Just a thought but I've seen some lists running {Auriok Champion} , any thoughts or opinions on the card? Or as to why it's not in your list?

#1 it looks kind of poor on paper.
#2, I don't want to drop $100 on a set. I just got hired at an LGS though so I will have some extra cash to blow on magic.

Nice. Now what kind of deals can you get me. Jkjk
I play 2 x {auriok champion} in my token deck, but it tends to be the first thing i board out against pretty much any deck playing blue.
