Title: Cardboard Rage
Post by: Taysby on September 03, 2015, 07:29:44 PM
online store is going to come to life as a school assignment that I plan on turning into a job. Just bought www.cardboardrage.com. Plan on having more reasonable prices and defragmentating the market WITH AN EASY TO USE MOBILE PLATFORM!  Will post progress here.

Good luck. I would suggest talking to an online store that has been around for a while and see if they might be able to give you some pointers. Let them know it's for a school project.

I've got someone locally building his own online shop platform cuz he doesn't like commerce, I may hit him up (he said he'll take magic cards as payment!)

Also commerce can hurt you if you don't update rapidly When things spike

Midnight still risky - you almost wanna just update during major events

As long you buy lower than you sell, it shouldn't be that big a deal if you miss out on a spike.
Happy customers are key to a lasting business.

Not a problem at all, we know how to do it - but it is going to costs you. Do you have any budget prepared yet?

Not even that. If you try to negotiate in business and find the kind of remark Taysby just made offensive - you are doing it wrong.

I'm being charged 1.5 monthly gross salary by recruitment agencies while you have the person I'm looking for? C'mon, be a good buddy and hit him up.

It'd be temporary ownership in the business (splitting profits). :P

What he doesn't want to do it as an internship?😛😛😛

I need some validation for a pitch ($1000 on the line)

If there was a site that did trading like puca AND sold cards AND had a classifieds section (like tcgplayer) with about the same prices would you switch?
Assuming shipping came quickly, yes. I would definitely switch if there was an option for 2day shipping or 5day shopping instead of standard 6-8 days.

Can you do stiff like what they do on tapped out where they show the live prices of the decks if you buy them in full?

I like the mass entry list, and being able to get all the cards from the same store, instead of 5 cards from here, and 7 cards there

And a forum ;)
you need a forum 👍🏽

I'm not sure. I'd use the trading function, but I'd rather not buy from a new store until it has a pretty established reputation. Or is a Google Trusted Store.
