Title: [MTG Finance] Money Cards MTG : Origins
Post by: MuggyWuggy on August 29, 2015, 07:22:17 PM
hey guys, so I'm being totally lazy and not researching anything about Origins. I just got a Russian box and found a ton of value in the rares alone. I have no idea what to put aside from the uncommons and commons so I thought : why not start a new thread tradition for each set so we can all reference a set breakdown faster

This is not for draft value - this is for mtg finance value

Cards to pay attention to for certain sets:

We can also break down the formats and reasoning for value of cards:

Ex: {Hangarback Walker}
Avg Value: $15
Formats: standard, modern affinity, vintage(*?)
Why: unless exiled, constant value with removal/destroyed, can be played by any color

I'll reserve the first 3 posts in order to separate mythics/rares/uc & commons

The next set this will be done for is BFZ

* - saw play at vintage championships

Mythic reserve

{Demonic Pact}
Avg Value: $5
Formats: standard
Why: with spells like {disperse} and {silumgar's command} in the format, this spell can gain great value when the owner can properly bounce and destroy it before the loss trigger. Saw a bit of play at pro tour origins
