If a card has been milled, can {Reya Dawnbringer} put it onto the battlefield? I ask this because it says "return" in both card text and in oracle. Why would it say "return to the battlefield" instead of somethig like "put from your graveyard into play"? It seems like you could only put a creatire in play that already has been on the battlefield. Or is it just word choice and it doesn't matter?

If it's in the graveyard it doesn't matter how it got there.
I think "return" is less wordy, but I agree. {Unburial Rites} has the same wording, and how often does it "return" creatures. ;D
