So I was thinking the other day about abilities that counter other abilities
when I say countered I mean opposed by, not always nullified
Flying countered by Reach
Deathtouch countered by damage prevention
First strike by also having first strike
How cool would it be if there were a creature that had an ability that the effect was "Creatures blocked by this creature have their power reduced to X where X = this creatures toughness" or some sort of wording that nullifies trample?
any ideas how to counter other evergreen abilities (not counting archtype cycle from BoG)
Since scry is now evergreen, I think I'd counter that with mill. You keep up top? Ok, toss it in the yard.
For anti-trample.
"Creatures blocked by this creature may only assign combat damage to this creature"
Call it something like Steadfast.
