If I have both essence of the wild and feed the pack in play, and I sacrifice a creature to activate feed the pack's ability. Are the new copies from essence real creatures or tokens?
Define "real".
They will be token copies of Essence.
They are tokens that are each copies of {essence of the wild}.
Essentially, they would be 6/6 tokens named "Essense of the Wild" with text of "when a creature enters the bf under your control, it enters as a copy of this creature," but it is a token nonetheless.
The token copies that are made will not be considered "creature cards" for the purpose of {Feed the Pack} or anything else so you couldn't sac an {Essence of the Wild} token creature to make more if that's where this was going.
Yea that's what I wanthed to know.
One more thing, when I put a creature into play and it copies are they tokens too?
No, that would stay a non-token creature and yes, that creature can then be sac'd for 6 6/6 tokens of essence. :)
Basically, If you cast a non-creature, it remains a non-creature. If you make a token, it remains a token.
Anything that is not a card is a token. If a creature card is cast from your hand, it's not a token even if its properties change.
Awesome this really helps I'm about to build an essence of the wild deck and I just want to make sure I'm doing it right. I also have an epic struggle that I was thinking of throwing in there.
Can someone give me a break down on how to link cards?
{essence of the wild}.
Cool thanks

Just put curly brackets around the name! Super easy {
1more question. If I have 2 { feed the pack}s out, do their abilities stack?
Yes, but each one is independent. You can't sac one creature to pay for both triggers.
That's what I thought.
Thanks
I was wondering if planes walkers were effected by essence or do they do there own thing as normal?

They aren't creatures so the planeswalkers will play as normal.
If those planeswalkers happen to be any form of Garruk, Elspeth, or Sorin Lord of Innie, their tokens that they create however will enter as {essence of the wild} copies.
I like where this is going.
If you use {Gideon Jura} and make him a creature you could sac him but I think that's be a waste..

You could {Cloudshift} him to reset his Loyalty and use an ability again.

They will be token copies of Essence.
Let's say you play {lingering souls} with essence of the wild.
Why is it that those don't become copies?

The spirit tokens do become copies...

So, there's a bug in mtgo? With every token making card? Because none of them make copies on mtgo. So either there's a bug or you're wrong.
Bug. Tokens should be made into {Essence of the Wild}, but they don't work with {Infinite Reflections}

That's a huge bug. Every single card making tokens, even {Geist Honored Monk} doesn't make them on there.
I thought the same way you did, but when I reported the bug they said they can't change it.
