Yes, except for Nissa(because she's an elf), and kills them. This was brought up by {{Kaylesh}} in an earlier post.
Oh I didn't see that he said that.

It's ok, the post was weeks ago.
Cause they just flip, instead of bouncing they don't get any loyalty counts. This is why it kills them if anyone wasn't sure why.
In some rare cases, a spell or ability may cause one of these five cards to transform while it's a creature (front face up) on the battlefield. If this happens, the resulting planeswalker won't have any loyalty counters on it and will subsequently be put into its owner's graveyard.
It's in the gatherer's card rulings. It also covers other unique situations. They're about a dozen rulings on these new PWs. Not sure why it's not coming up in the apps ruling section...you'll have to visit gatherer to read them...

Tx. That was even before the release notes confirmed me though, in the spoiler & speculation thread, so no harm in asking again, {{mayatron}}
So is there any way to proliferate or something similar before they go to the gy?
Hmm it's got my gears turning..aren't there cards that let you transfer counters among permanents? Because if there is if you have the counters on it before hand when it flips it won't die

+1/+1 counters don't become loyalty counters when they flip
Only thing I know that could pull that fancy nonsense is {Giant Fan}
Well I knew that I just meant like I swore that there was a card that allowed you to move counters in general around?
{Bioshift}
{Teferi, Temporal Archmage}'s emblem would let you do it, but by that time I feel like you'd already have the pw flipped.

Can you respond to a state based check?

State based checks are done before you get priority. They're gone before you can even activate. Even something like "whenever a card transforms put a counter of any kind on it" (which I just made up on the spot) would be too late to save them, as state based actions put them in the graveyard before the triggered ability is put on the stack.
Also if I'm not mistaken the flipped walkers have no cmc and die as creatures.

cmc has no bearing on whether or not a creature dies {Dryad Arbor} for reference
only toughness matters

Can't believe everyone missed you just blew up all lands as well!
{mycosynth lattice} + {March of the machines} = no one will ever have land.
Best add an artifact lord in here as well. {Chief of the Foundry}

Well, now that I'm gonna build that...
Do you guys think I should put {March of the Machines} in my Muzzio deck?

I was thinking the same thing for Arcum Dagsson. Decided against it, since he can't scry for it, nor for an artifact lord, and I need to keep my lands. {Muzzio, Visionary Architect} will likely dump it to the bottom while digging, but it might be more likely to surface. AND you can dig for a lord with Muzzio.
I like the idea...
