I know there are quite a few of you on here from California and I am taking a week long trip out there and I'm staying near Anaheim and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for where to go for fnm and where to go for weeknight gaming
SoCal magic is a pretty big attendance
Just terrible payout
If you want to go a distance mtg deals is great

That's awful also
So much awful prize support now a days.
Wish more stores were like San Jose area, at least payouts there are appropriate.
I'm playing in a modern event tonight. Everyone in top 8 makes their entry fee back in store credit, first gets $70 second gets $50 3rd gets $30, 4th gets $20 and everyone else gets the aforementioned $10. It's pretty awesome
Entry?
So any specific stores I should look at , or am I better off just using the locator?
SoCal magic will be pretty close to you on chapman.
They get a decent crowd for modern standard and draft
Ok thanks I'll look them up

Entry?
As llama said, 10 bucks. Got 8th last week and going for free tonight :)
See that's legit
Lgs by me: win mm15 draft, earn $25 store credit
Math seems off
Ours depends on attendance, but for example:
21 teams at the 2HG prerelease, top 2 teams split 30 packs (15 packs a team).
FNM with 16ish people, 1st gets 5-6 packs iirc (it's been a few weeks and I've just been doing store credit)
Getting credit is $3.33/pack you "trade in".
