Really? I had two really good trades (rather large) with crazy horse abd they went flawlessly.
I did a trade with zw913 and have yet to receive my half and I sent the 27th and he said he was getting them out last Tuesday and I haven't heard back from him

Yea well he sent half of mine and then when I posted about it, he messages me and then I haven't heard from him since or received anything so yea...
I'll add crazy horse on a pending status (obviously if an admin would like to take this thread over by all means, I'm not trying to overstep my boundaries).
When we're they last on? Crazy horse was 6 days ago and I sent him messages before then....and zw913 was last on on the 30th but I could find the other two

yea I traded with Clint and have yet to receive anything I traded a foil snap huntsmaster ect. Expesive stuff if I don't receive I'll be broke and my dad will be pissed

Guys please do not trade with folks that r not on trusted traders. I have turned down a few guys. Sorry to hurt your feelings but I can't trade with you now. I no what it feels like to get ripped off. No fun.
Some of these people have made proper trades in the past, and people have to get on the list somehow.
Start small if there's doubt.

^This. I am not going to lie. When I started trading here, all the trades I made amounted to no more then $7. One because I did not know who I could trust and two I had no reputation on this website. I gained the trust of some people with my feedback on another site (not eBay) which is 75+ positive feedback and 0 negative feedback. You want my advice, I am still skeptical about some of the people on this site. I make people who have no reputation send first. If they are not on the trusted trader list at least two or three times or have a link where they can show me their credibility, I make them send first. If they want to back out of a trade at that point that is fine by me. In my 3+ years of trading online, I have still not been ripped off. It all comes down to common sense. Stick to low dollar trades, gain some credibility with the mods or other iMtG frequent regulars (Like myself or Sagemaster). When you have a credible reputation, then start wheeling and dealing your Mindsculptors and foil Snaps. If you are skeptical of someone or they have no reputations make them send first for your sake. I really hate to see people get ripped off, especially because iMtG has one of the best communitys for this game I have ever seen. This applies to the regulars as well, please dont let yourselves get ripped off by people that are new to this thing and think they can get away with stealing. I understand we want to give newbies a good impression so they can join our community and be a part of this, but dont be so laxed you let yourselves get ripped.

Oh and do not trust Invaderzim I was setting up a trade with him and asked him to send first and I think he blocked me or something cause I can't veil his profile and it won't let me send him messages

After spending over a month in Syria, I expect all cards to be waiting for me. Nothing takes over a month to arrive, especially pieces of cardboard. This place has made me angry.

This really sucks to hear about guys. I really thought the Joey thing was an isolated incident. Pretty naive of me to believe that. I hope this work out for you guys. You could always contact the local authorities in their area....you have their name, address, and written communication to prove the transaction.
Committing a crime across state lines is a felony offense and gives the federal government jurisdiction as well.
Also on all 14 trades i have done on here i have sent mine with delivery conformation its .85 cents more and if you have that and need to contact authorities like clntr81 has just said you have physical proof togo with your claim. To me its worth it. Plus it gives peace of mind to who your trading with so they can track it.

I imagine it is definitely a felony. You will have to try to get some local authority contact info in the city he is at in Canada and go from there.
I would bet that any contact from the police to him will have him scarred enough to return the cards. So really all you need to do is see if the police will at least question the guy and tell the police that you don't want to press charges if you get your stuff back.
I thought Canada doesn't go after people who commit crimes in the US and either live or flee to Canada

The sad thing is I have been ripped off before..I can assure you guys that I would never do that. I am still yet to receive Anyones..I understand the stress, and I pray for my reputation on here that the cards come through soon../:
^ at least he's responding somewhat. The ZW guy doesn't even get ahold of anyone. I don't want to be hasty with anyone but it just seems like a trend that we don't want to start. And if we show we're aggressive about alerting authorities. The less likely people will be about trying to steal.

I could do the job for trades with europeans (I always do my trades properly)
Thatoneguyjoey is back and trading again under metalmadman. He says he is making a new name for himself and people are trading with him even though he ripped off some people and left them empty-handed
I was also ripped off by zw913 guy. O wasn't ripped off by Joey but If I need a card metalmadman has I am going to make it a small trade and he gets one shot with me. Hopefully he has reformed.

Yeah, I understand. I have actually seen a mod post someone's address on this forum, but he edited out some of the info, leaving just the part so that people can steer away if they felt uncomfortable. Just ask a mod before posting it would be my advice. Not saying you have to, it is just wiser. :)

If you decide to risk sending hundreds of dollars worth of cards to a complete stranger over the Internet, then you should be prepared for the likely event that you'll get ripped off. It's the fact of life. The faster you realize this the faster you won't be dumb about stuff.

I don't consider this an argument. It a civil descusdiin. I agree with you I wouldn't trade anything online. But I'm not ginna knock someone for trusting someone else. And then throw salt in the wound (getting ripped off) and tell them to just forget about it if they want to try some legal action
