Why not throw twin into affinity?

These reasons:

You're basically asking to get two for one-d. Someone paths your exarch in response to twin, you got wrecked because you couldn't protect it.

Twin wants to be able to turn into a control deck post board if it has to. This is one of the reasons it is so good, it has options, it. Can be grixis control (which is good enough to get 9th at GP Charlotte) or turbo combo, or hell their tempo game isn't to bad either. So many options keep the deck flexible.

Affinity needs EVERY CARD. Affinity is a deck that is notorious for having horrible mulligans. It simply can't afford to have an exarch in hand when you need some kind of combo piece, it'd almost always be better as some kind of enabler.

You have very few can trips. You run thoughtcast, and that's it. That just isn't good enough to assemble the combo turn 4 or even 5 or 6. Twin is able to get it together so quickly because damn near everything in the deck says 'draw a card' on it.

All that aside, cool casual deck! I just wanted to make sure we're on the same page that this will not do well at any reasonably competitive modern event.

As a noob of Modern I have learned that if you don't protect the staples of your deck you lose very quickly. Bloom Titan can kind of get away with it because it can go off so fast pretty commonly. But trying to build my own Tron deck was hell because I didn't keep in mind that {Blood Moon} is a thing and if you dot have a way to stop it or remove it you're done. Like Kaalia said, as a casual chill deck this seems kind of fun to play. Yet, protection for your combos is really necessary in almost any deck.
