Title: Narset questions
Post by: mgrenier25 on June 12, 2015, 09:21:44 PM
Let's say I have a  {Narset, Enlightened Master} on the field and an  {Illusionist's Bracers} equipped on her as she attacks, do i exile twice 4 cards from the top of my library? Now if i decide to cast a spell that got exiled  with Narset's ability, as the spell resolves does it goes to the graveyard or does it remains exiled?

Narset's ability is triggered, not activated, so Illusionist's Bracers has no interaction with it.  {Strionic Resonator}, however, does.

Spells cast with Narset go wherever they would normally go when they resolve.  Most go to the graveyard, unless something else specifies elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply, now i wonder about overload Mecanics and dual cards(like the ones in dragonmaze) if i exile a spell with overload, can i overload for free? Same with dual cards, can i cast both halfs for free?

On the first: Overload is considered an alternate cost, as is the "casting for free" from Narset. You can only pay one alternate cost, so no overload. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs, and MUST pay required additional costs, such as with {fling}.

On the dual cards I'm not too sure, gonna do some digging.

Fuse cards cannot be fused as they can only be fused when casting then from your hand.

Thanks Remillio, as always you're spot on.
Fuse only functions when cast from hand, so:
708.2a (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=708.2a): If a player casts a split card without using fuse, that player chooses which half of that split card he or she is casting before putting it onto the stack. Only that half is evaluated to see if it can be cast. Only that half is considered to be put onto the stack.

Extra combat phases and turns are your friend. I also like running Planeswalkers.

I'm done building it. It's not perfect but i did with what i had, i'll post the list later. I don't have a good card pool though, only {Ugin's Nexus} and {Temporal Trespass} to get some extra turns, i came back to magic a few months before ravnica block made it out of standard after quitting for like 10 years so repacks are my friends :)
