Title: Lattice Devotion
Post by: Avodroc13 on June 11, 2015, 01:49:02 AM
{Mycosynth lattice} is on the field. Does that mean things with devotion are useless. Ie: Gods will never become creatures... etc.

Could someone provide a ruling because I could not find one.

No it isnt useless because the text of devotion states that it is the number of colored mana symbols in the casting cost, so therefore while the card may be colorless its casting cost still has those colors. Or at least i think thats how it works

700.5. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=700.5.): A player's devotion to [color] is equal to the number of mana symbols of that color among the mana costs of permanents that player controls. A player's devotion to [color 1] and [color 2] is equal to the number of mana symbols among the mana costs of permanents that player controls that are [color 1], [color 2], or both colors.

Even though the color is changed, the mana cost isn't. Devotion is untouched.
