So he's running 4 {fast bond}, a card so powerful it is banned in any competitive deck except for vintage, where it is restricted?? In a "casual"??
Why not run a full playset of moxen and lotuses in another deck to t1 emrakul....

Anyhow. Defeat this deck? Kill off his {fastbond} / {horn of greed} / {glazing greathart} combo by {disenchant} and {shock}.
Or have something like {Erebus, God of the dead} or another effect that says opponent can't gain life.

EDIT: and then just tickle him to death with tiny creatures. {R}{W} zergling could do really well against this.

There's a better Fastbond deck on here somewhere.... I'll see if I can find it

Sparkles version is way better.

If you want to beat him legitly a {Disenchant} then {Surgical Extraction} completely ruins the deck if you hit {Fastbond}. Maybe run {Nature's Claim} for turn 1 F U potential. Then all you need is to out-race him.

There's also {Thoughtsieze}, {Inquizion of Kozelik} and {Duress} to tear it apart before it hits the table.

Thanks for the suggestions. Based on how I've seen this deck operate, I have to disrupt him on turn 1 or 2 or just watch the combo do its thing.

{Ankh of Mishra}

Lets see how much life they're willing to lose.

It's nice, but a gladeheart cancels it out. If he fires his combo off he could dig about ten cards deep easily finding this second gladeheart, then continue to regain the life he lost on all the land-drops.

He digs ten cards, loses 30 life and dies.

Combo being {grazing gladeheart} / {horn of greed} / {fastbond}. He will only lose 10-ish, depending on which turn you can drop Ankh

Makes finishing him off pretty easy.

The deck my friend uses plays with fun cards like {Mana Breach} and {Storm Cauldron}. They can go off really fast, believe me, but if they are missing even one card their deck has no other protection. Enchantment removal and creature destruction just wrecks the deck. In my big green deck I run 4x {Naturalize} and 3x {Sundering Growth} especially for that because he has milled it to death before. A deck consisting of relatively 100 cards is normally not something easy to mill. Save for {Traumatize} and the like. But I learned fast that I see a {Fastbond} hit the table I go looking for my enchantment hate and hope I get it before all my cards go bye bye.
