Like the Souls before it, it's just not a game everyone can get in to. Honestly I like to think I'm a pretty casual gamer these days. When I do play games I still play on Hard, but I can't do Souls at all. It is so demanding and requires you to die 5 million times in order to progress 10 feet. Ain't nobody got time fo that!
I hate batman arkham asylum games.
Alien isolation is hard also, but at least it goes somewhere
I've Played 30 hours into it and I'm miserable as nothing has happened, progress very far and die, use consumables and still die again. Die die die die die die die die die. That's all you do in this stupid game.

Yah I'm not 14 anymore with all the time in the world to grind diablo 2 on hell mode. This game sucks for adults who have a life.

I agree with you on all points except the Batman one. Beat 'em up games like the current Batman series and Darksiders 2 I can seriously get in to, because it turns out I'm pretty damn good at them, not to blow my own horn or anything haha. Those games have a crazy curve on Hard and beyond but they're playable. I can't Souls. I just can't.
Also, screw Alien Isolation.
So is souls some sort of genre? Dark souls? I never got into that game.
Puttin this on amazon now. Wish I got dying light instead or some other game with a little more progression happening

It's by the same creators so the people that usually get it knew what they were getting into and probably played the hell out of the previous games

I don't know how people torture themselves with this game. Perhaps the experience is different offline? I don't have ps plus so I'm sure online would be a different experience.
It's actually a hell of a lot easier than dark souls, so I'm having a blast! Some things are tough, but it makes progressing feel more rewarding. Online might be easier for you because you could have people assist you though, I spent a good hour helping people defeat a boss haha

It's not for everyone I suppose. I don't really think it's a waste of time if you play it correctly, but then again waste is subjective and why play video games if not to waste time?
It takes a little patience to read and study the boss' movements and not rush fights. I've always liked the fact that in the souls games, no matter how much you leveled, if you're not paying attention you can get rekt by anything, haha.
Also, about spending an hour beating bosses, I was helping multiple people with their bosses, not like a single boss over an hour. It kinda sounded like that after reading it again lol

? It seems like it's more general surprise and curiosity than butt hurt.. I kinda get it. I like darksouls, but it gets kinda boring grinding levels.
I've talked to a few people who don't enjoy it and our general consensus is that people won't let it go that some people don't like bloodborne

You don't like blood borne??!!??? You must not be merican.... Just kidding don't kill me
Just beat the main story. Will do the chalice dungeons at some point. It's ok that bloodborne isn't for you. It's a tough game where you have to work hard to have fun. If your not a souls veteran it's likely not for you.

Yeah, it's genuine curiosity from myself, my butt couldn't hurt less. I've always seen the memes about people getting buttmad at souls games, but I've never actually seen someone give up on it irl so it's interesting to me
