would i be able to use {chord of calling} to summon {progenitous}?
Sure. Protection only functions on the battlefield, and even if it did function in the library, Chord doesn't do anything that protection prevents (Damage, Attaching, Blocking, Targeting).
With the convoke, all you need is some mana and some cheap creatures. With proper cards and draw power you can have 8 creatures t5 and 5 lands, that's one {progenitus} T5, maybe even sooner if you add major ramp.
Or go all out:
T1: mountain {sol ring} {howling mine}
T2: mountain {krenko, mob boss}
T3: mountain, 3 goblins, tap Krenko for 4, total 7.
T4: {manamorphose} 2x for the triple {G}+1, tap Krenko for 15 goblins, tap 8 of the goblins, {chord of calling} for {progenitus}.
Yeah I know it's a bit ludicrous, just did some math and it only works when you're on the draw due to the number of cards and you're draws need to be perfect, but in magic wonderland you could pull this. Do note that since you have 15 untapped goblins AND have a spare mountain you could get anything with CMC up to 17. Turn 4, GG.
EDIT: oh wait, {manamorphose} also draws you a card, so you get a spare card in hand should you start, or 2 when on the draw. I suggest something like {furnace of rath} to cast in T5, and a mountain so you can {fling} your creature..
How about something a little more sane?
T1: Forest, {Utopia Sprawl}.
T2: Tap for GG, cast {Burning-Tree Emissary}, followed by three more Emissaries. With RG floating, play and activate {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} to make nine G. Use 9 mana and tap your four Shamans to Chord for 10.

More sane, and a lot faster. I got carried away 😌
How about we just go
Turn 1: forest
Turn 2: forest, exile {elvish spirit guide}, exile {elvish spirit guide}, exile {elvish spirit guide}, {channel}
that should give you all the mana you need.

Not for a five colour spell.

Yeah... Chord doesn't care what color you use for {X}
I feel stupid. >_>
