This is my brother's soldier deck, he's looking for suggestions.
{Brave the Elements}: Probably one of the best cards in the deck. I'd run more.
{Zealous Strike}: Pretty mediocre. I'd cut it.
{Raise the Alarm} This is such a fantastic value card that I'd run a 4th.
{Elspeth, Sun's Champion}/{Elspeth, Knight-Errant} I would pick just one of these. I feel like {Elspeth, Sun's Champion} is late game reach while {Elspeth, Kinght-Errant} is a faster, more aggressive option.
{Brave the Sands}: I love this card but its true home is in multiplayer. I'd cut it.
{Honor of the Pure}: This feels like four of material to me.
{Dictate of Heliod}: Has this been working well? Seems a bit clunky.
{Plains}: Don't you have some {Mistveil Plains} or something? I'd recommend {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} as a one or two of.
Creature
{Odric, Master Tactician}: Seems pretty solid.
{Precinct Captain}: I dig.
{Preeminent Captain}: This guy feels like four of material.
{Boros Elite}: Looks like a pretty solid one drop.
{Veteran Swordsmith}: Not very impressive at all. I'd lean towards cutting this.
{Crusader of Odric}: Are there ever really enough creatures out to make this good? Seems iffy.
{Veteran Armorsmith}: I like him but all he's really doing is getting some of his friends out of burn range. Kinda iffy.
{Archetype of Courage}: I'd like to see more of these.
{Captain of the Watch}: Two seems like a solid number for this.
Now, suggestions.
{Path to Exile}: Grade A removal, there is currently no removal at all in this deck. You can try to get away with {Condemn} if you're on a budget.

It's a control deck with a bunch of ways to abuse martyr of sands. It's actually nothing like this deck

Wouldn't go so far to call it control... Maybe closer to combo than control? I don't think it's too close to either.
