Title: A budget Dimir combo control deck.
Post by: obstinatebaloth on May 24, 2015, 10:55:55 PM
4 {Duskmantle Guildmage}
3 {Spellskite}
4 {dimir infiltrator}
4 {Dimir Charm}
3 {Remand}
4 {Inquisition of Kozilek}
4 {Mindcrank}
4 {Muddle the Mixture}
4 {Shred Memory}
4 {Thoughtseize}
2 {Vapor Snag}
4 {Darkslick Shores}
4 {Ghost Quarter}
3 {Island}
2 {Sunken Ruins}
2 {Swamp}
1 {Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth}
4 {Watery Grave}

Should I be running snapcasters? Mabe fabricates? More counterspells? I need a lot of help on this deck. No idea is a bad idea! Please give me suggestions. Additionally still need to create a sideboard.

What is the budget?

Now that I think about it this isn't very budget...
Anyway I still would like feedback on what to fix.

You should try bloodcrank. I've got a list for that on here too

Vapor snag is a tempo card, not a control card

Blood crank isn't as good imp. You have to wait for the counters.

But the counters come quickly...

I'm a huge fan of ascension, especially in modern.  I'd probably run it alongside the guildmage.  And if you go Grixis, it gives you access to Bolt to quickly put it online and punishes your opponent for pretty much anything they do.
