sold everything but a few key Modern staples, my lands, one standard deck just in case, my wilted Abzan deck, and affinity. Was a collection I amassed for about a year of winning fnms and got 550$ for it :) pretty happy although it was around 1100 retail but oh well. Anyone else ever realize standard isn't the place to be and sold all their cards they weren't going to ever use?

Happens just about every year... I'm holding any Ugins I get because, well, what happened to the LAST colorless 'Walker? His price shot up a fair bit of time after he rotated
Had 5 Ugins, kept 4. Also hanging on to my ashioks as they are being seen in bug delver decks heavily :)
Lots of 3 cmc or less spells are very eternal. I made loot tho selling to vendors at a GP. You definitely don't get much unless you sell via TCG or fb, and even then there are fees and other hassles that lower the value you get for a collection
Didn't necessarily need the money but the way I am is all these young kids come look through my binders and tell me they want something and offer a trade and since I don't play standard and they're kinda young for the modern format(I'm talking 12-16 year olds, I'm 23 I'm not too old either) I tend to just give them whatever they need for free and they thank me and I'm the nice guy blah blah blah but fact of the matter is I'm really losing out on the opportunity to sell those to buy stuff I need for modern. I've given away 3 flooded strands, a Dragonlord Ojutai, foil Dragonlord Atarka, commands left and right and a bunch of other cards lol i just thought it'd be best for me to get rid of it rather than being straight up charity.
