I played against this deck on untap. It was pretty fun!

Heck yes! I decided on batterskull over wurmcoil because I had one and didn't have the other also, a vigilant lifelink death touch hornet queen seemed fun :)

Basically a carbon copy of the modern tier 2 list on the top of here with that exception so no creativity on my end. Lol

Could I drop serum visions to 3 and run an Ugin as a 1 of? I mean, main board board wipe for a deck that ramps doesn't seem horrible. Especially since I can pop him off as well and get the hive minds down for free then play any pact I'd like, or I can sideboard slaughter pact and see how it goes from there. I can fish Ugin with ancient stirrings that's the only reason I'm thinking of this

Serum visions is such an important card in here though

Yes it is, but I've seen 3 or 4 decks running it as a 3 of and running 1 ruric thar I believe. So I think it may be okay, I'm gonna play test and see how it goes most likely

I'm also tempted to find a spot for {choke} in the sideboard since twin is one of this decks big problems

Honestly, if you want to run an Ugin, I'd cut the spirit guide.  I know it's in the list to enable a turn 1 Titan, but honestly, the only reason the deck did so well with it is because one of the pro players championing the deck was cheating (palming 7s) to have turn 1 plays with it.  Unless you have it turn 1, it's pretty much a dead draw, and as only a one-of?  I'd say cut it.

What? Really? Who cheated? I'm confused!

Regardless the deck is still one of the best decks in modern and I would leave guide in there not only for the T1 Titan but it's just helpful

Yah guide has saved my butt having him t2 drawing an amulet is great, pretty much 0 drop amulet then summer bloom into Titan

And about the cheating, is there a link to that? I'm sure if the pro's were cheating and someone knew about it it would most definitely be a big deal and brought up somewhere in this forum or another

This Reddit thread discusses it.

Stephen Speck was caught presenting a 53 card deck to his opponent with a perfect 7 palmed, ready to go.  Literally the only reason he was playing the deck was to cheat, since he was also amazingly terrible at playing the deck.

Speck was more of a GP and Open Series personality, but is definitely part of the deck's resurgence.  There's no whiff of foul play for Cohen and Black who did well at the Pro Tour with the deck.  But as much as I love the deck, I'm still hard pressed to call it one of the 'best decks in modern'.  It's a gorgeous piece of deck crafting, but it's not the powerhouse people think it is.  That said, have a blast playing it!

As with any deck, I think it comes down to who's piloting it. Splinter twin is a power house but if you have someone who doesn't know how to control it falls apart, burns great but if you got someone wasting all the burn spells on creatures it falls apart, tokens are great but if you're not using hand disruption it falls apart, same with Abzan etc. bloom is an amazing deck and is top tier, but it just depends on who's piloting it

Removed {tendo ice bridge} and mainboarded a {Ghost Quarters} and made room for one extra sideboard spot which allowed me to thrown in a {choke} for the pesky control and twin decks :)

Why board out slaughter pact against twin??  Sure they can pay for it so it's hard to go for the hivemind kill, but it's a great way to let them think they can go for the combo, and when they do, BAM! Two for one.

Simply because I board in the swan songs and chokes to prevent it, pact of negation is a good card when I have mana available on board state or if the game drags out, when playin twin if I haven't titan'ed by t3 then they win t4 and if i don't have the mana needed as Well, paying that pact is useless. On top of that, if they're a safe player, they'll wait till they have free mana of their own and counter my pact anyways leaving me screwed either way. I'd rather lean towards a creature heavy/enchantment removal phase against them more than attempt to control spells which isn't what bloom Titan is exactly made for

Updated the mainboard. Sigarda wins games so I decided to take her off the bench and throw her in the game. Opened up a spot for an additional swan song.

Dude she is just too good. Every Jund match I've played against, if she hits the board, it's an insta-win.

Also, the second I find a foil Sigarda I am trading whatever to get her. She's a beauty.
