What are the best modern burn cards? And is it better to go mono red or splash some white in there?
Your best bet is probably RGW or Naya. Green gives you atarka's command, white gives you boros charm and path to exile in the sideboard.
Thats probably going to be pricey then with all those lands....:/
Modern burn cards:
{Lightning Bolt} obvi
{Lava Spike}
{Boros Charm}
{Atarkas Command} or {Skullvrack} of you want just RW
1-2 {Shard Volley}
{Goblin Guides}
{Monastery Swiftspear}
As I'm typing this in thinking just check mtgtop8.com they have all the top decks :P
Also in the modern section there is a sticky of the top modern decks with deck list and you tube links a deck tech
alright fair enough but can somebody explain to me why goblin guide is so essential for a burn deck?

It's 1 mana for a repeated 2 damage starting turn one
thats the only reason? i feel like other cards would be more benefitial..... vexing devil? or just more burn...?

Devil will at max deal four damage. It eats a lightning bolt or they force a sac through its own ability
{Lightning Helix}, {Warleader's Helix}, {Boros Charm}, {Leyline of Sanctity}, {Stony Silence}, {Erase}/{Disenchant} reasons to go white.
{Destructive Revelry}, {Atarak's Command}, {Choke} reasons to go green.
IMO Boros burn is the best option as it allows you to play {Blood Moon}.

Beat me to it, burn doesn't run Leyline, or Erase/Disenchant.
{Leyline of Punishment} maybe, but {Erase}/{Disenchant} is needed, although it is {Wear // Tear} all day in that slot. You need a way to blow past {Leyline of Sanctity}.
Why on earth would you not run {Leyline of Sanctity} in Boros burn?
I forgot about {Wear // Tear}. You /need/ enchantment hate in the current meta. Folding to {Leyline of Sanctity} will make you lose games you should have won.
Why /not/ run {Blood Moon}? Besides that it's a BS card that shouldn't exist. It wins games. {Choke} is a devastating SB card as well.

How is blood moon BS? It's so easy to play around. Fetch Lands exist. Also, you can play around choke. Leyline is a hoser for one archetype

Fetches don't help if {Blood Moon} is already on the board, or you don't know it's coming. You can play around it, and {Choke}, but it's not pleasant or easy and you will lose games. Unless of course you're not like me and you play 1-2 color decks.

It doesn't matter if you don't know it's coming, you can think about if that deck would run blood moon, and if you think they might, you fetch around it.

1. Blood moon is a fine card, it punishes you for being greedy and is bad if you're careful
2. Leyline of sanctity doesn't do damage so you don't play it in the deck where everything needs to be a land or do damage.
3. Blood moon also doesn't do damage. Any deck that gets screwed up by blood moon will probably also get screwed up by dying on turn 4 to a bunch of lightning bolts.
one last question regarding Eidolon....? wouldnt he be damaging you most of the time in a burn deck?

Yes, but it won't matter. It'll basically equate to RR: deal 6+ damage to an opponents and 8-12 to yourself, and that 8-12 won't matter except against zoo and other fast decks, in which case they'll start being shocked more too.
{rift bolt} {monastery swiftspear} {bump in the night} {kor fire walker} for sideboard

The double white in firewalker can be difficult depending on how much you spend on lands.

Nope, dies too easily, kor firewalker is pro red so used only in the mirror and sustains your life through not only your spells but your opponents as well.
Also, firewalker is 42cents soul fire is 10.50 so if they're on a budget then kor is best fit
