I use {Mindslaver} to control my opponent. Once in control, I tap his {Intrepid Hero} to destroy his {Ob Nixilis, Unshackled}. Then I cast a {cloudshift} from my opponent's hand on {Intrepid Hero}, causing it to reenter untapped. (Correct?) I tap my {Akki Drillmaster} and give the hero haste. Then I play a {Giant Growth} from my hand to make it a 4/4. I tap the hero again and have it destroy itself. I end the turn.
Is this the proper way to go about the steps?
I dont see why not. You still control yourself, so yeah, that's percectly fine as long as you pass priority to other players in the game while completing actions.

Question, do you ever actually "pass priority" to the other player of you control them? Or does it more or less just stay yours entirely.
It is still another player, so I'd say priority still gets passed normally. You just make decisions for that player when he/she gets the priority.
Can't really find a proper ruling that says anything changes the way prio is handled.
Plz correct me if I'm wrong here.
